We are always interested in seeking help in running our site. Our staff positions are filled by volunteers who have the site's best interests in mind. If you feel you are a proven trusted and reliable member of the site please review the open positions below. If you feel you can help in other ways not mentioned below please email admin@gmaker.org with any ideas.
Open positions
- Community Moderators - (none available) - Peace keepers and enforcers of the site's guidelines and rules. Has the ability to issue warnings, and edit/delete posts and comments when violations occur. This position is reserved for those who have proven themselves as trusted community leaders and will, without a doubt, enforce the site's guidelines and rules with a just and fair hand. In order to fullfill this position you will need to be highly active on the site's forum on a daily basis.
- Specialists Positions - (none available) - These positions may be fulfilled by multiple people or by the same person depending on each individual's time they are able to devote to each position:
- Games Specalists - Managers of the games section. Has the ability to approve and disable games from the site depending on if they meet the site's guidelines and rules. This position requires knowledge of the differences between the various platforms games may be created with, how to install and test these games, to ensure that games uploaded to the site are legit, and to be familar with the site's collection to make sure there is no duplicate entries added. In order to fullfill this position you must be able to devote a minimum amount of time per day in checking over the recently added/reported games and addressing these items thoroughly and efficently.
- Resource Specalists - Managers of the resources section. Has the ability to approve and disable resources from the site depending on if they meet the site's guidelines and rules. This position requires knowledge of the differences between the various file types, platforms, and formats that resources are created as, to ensure that resources uploaded to the site are not stolen and of the best quality, and to be familar with the site's collection to make sure there is no duplicate entries added. In order to fullfill this position you must be able to devote a minimum amount of time per day in checking over the recently added/reported resources and addressing these items thoroughly and efficently.
- Tutorial Specalists - Managers of the tutorials section. Has the ability to approve and disable tutorials from the site depending on if they meet the site's guidelines and rules. This position requires general knowledge in the various platforms supported by the site, the basics of the english language, the ability to ensure a baseline of quality for all tutorials that are added to the site, and to be familar with the site's collection to make sure there is no duplicate entries added. In order to fullfill this position you must be able to devote a minimum amount of time per day in checking over the recently added/reported tutorials and addressing these items thoroughly and efficently. Additionally, you should be able to write and add your own tutorials to the site on a regular basis.
- Download Specalists - Managers of the downloads section. Has the ability to approve and disable downloads from the site depending on if they meet the site's guidelines and rules. This position requires general knowledge of how applications work, such as: checking for viruses, and if the program seems legit. You must also be familar with the site's collection to make sure there is no duplicate entries added. In order to fullfill this position you must be able to devote a minimum amount of time per day in checking over the recently added/reported downloads and addressing these items thoroughly and efficently. Additionally, you should be able to find and add other great downloads to the site on a regular basis.
- Links Specalists - Managers of the links section. Has the ability to approve and disable website links from the site depending on if they meet the site's guidelines and rules. This position requires general knowledge of how website's work, such as: disabling javascript and checking if a site is legit. You must also be familar with the site's collection to make sure there is no duplicate entries added. In order to fullfill this position you must be able to devote a minimum amount of time per day in checking over the recently added/reported website links and addressing these items thoroughly and efficently. Additionally, you should be able to find and add other great websites to the site on a regular basis.
- Reviews Specalists - Managers of the game reviews within the games section. Has the ability to approve and disable reviews from the site depending on if they meet the site's guidelines and rules. This position requires knowledge of creating reviews such as the various areas a review could be rated, including: game play, sound effects, visual effects, and story/plot. In order to fullfill this position you must be able to devote a minimum amount of time per day in checking over the recently added/reported reviews and addressing these items thoroughly and efficently.
